Growth region

Since the Federal Government moved from Bonn to Berlin, the region has developed in a completely new direction. Today the Bonn/Rhine-Sieg region is one of the most attractive growth regions in Germany, with a focus on business, science, congress functions and culture.

Since the move numerous existing and newly founded companies and organisations have set up here, bringing with them more than 25,000 additional jobs. The region has also experienced a continuous population increase.

The local State Office of Statistics (IT.NRW) forecasts further population growth up to 2020.
